Bingo - just don't go to district 1 or district 2, and LA is fine.

Its hard for other people to find parties this way as well..Especially for the Titans Quests. All I see is futile spam for weapons or other items that are clearly overpriced.

LA = weapons and dyes
Forge = materials (every runner wants them for the armor so every player selling stuff knows to go there)
Ascalon = scaming n00bs and selling none perfect items to low level characters who don't know better (ie, great place to sell +11 energy focus items for a lot, etc)
Oasis = All those collector required items (forgotten seals etc.)
Hedge = actual players (all the runners skip this part of the game so here you can actually find people doing missions usually).

Pretty much true tho there was several weeks of quiet when the game was first released. I remember going to LA & dancing with the dance troupe that hung out there. Then the casinos came & ad spam drove the dancers away. After the casinos were thwarted thier influence on the Global channel had already taken effect on the traders...the traders were now ad spamming on Global. Dancers left LA never to return. =(

Yes, I know, most people leave from Temple of Ages these days; but that's just unnecessary grind -- you should be able to leave from Lion's Arch as the quest intends and you should not have to wade through 100's of messages to find that person who can join your DNKP quest group.

The developers can implement a simple system to monitor this; flag any account that uses the regular chat channel for high-volume messaging. Have a human look at the chat record; if it is inflamatory (very common), or selling messages; give them a warning. If they persist terminate their account based on violation of the EULA.

Well I aint going to give myself ulcer over this but hello, why do you think they have the trade channel in the first place?

It's exactly like this website - you don't put your roleplaying stories in Q&A section, you put it in the stories section.

Trade messages have no place in general channel, period.

Most people use the trade channel. Its when you have someone accidentally hit the wrong key for general chat say if answering a question someone has and accidnetalyl spams it in local, or more common is that people try to do it because of 2 reasons.

1: most people in LA turn off the trade channel as to not look at that midless drivel unless selling or needing to buy something.

2: They think that if they see a huge row of pink that a white sentance in the middle of all that pink wil lmake their item stand out more.

Needless to say ive found better deals in ToA, Droks, Tombs, and International dist. of Ascalon city then i ever found in LA

the reason they have to spam trade AND local for 5 hours is because they overprice their crap.

Where were you at realease? Please do indulge us with that peice of information, so I can start using that infor to try and get some people banned as examples.

I can only imagine the possibilities......... People chatting in local chat......... not having to wade through local and trade channel to buy stuff, or find a buyer......... not seeing "WTS another gold FDS 100K unIDed" over all those heads even if local is off.

Wow, sounds nice.
